Although the weather was SUPERB on Wed. Thurs., and Fri., we had a bit of rain on Fri. night and on Sat. that did NOT diminish the party spirits at all (ahhh, the Margaritias are still magical !!). Even the dampened hikers and bikers dried out to join the party!

I actually think that I will need to bring a "formal" dance floor next year....right ladies? Perhaps Terry and Ingrid may also be willing to provide dance lessons...but guys...maybe WITHOUT the rain parkas? For those keeping track (Helen ?), my hangover morning was Sunday instead of last years' Friday. I am really not sure if this represents an improvement or a setback !!

As a result of my recent hand injury, I was particularly concerned that this year, it would be very difficult for this event to be pulled off successfully. However, due to the great efforts of a small group of people, and contributions from some others, the weekend turned out to be quite successful! Once again, Special thanks go to HELEN W. for her tireless shopping efforts, and to BILL H., and KATHY C., each of whom went far and above the call of duty with their REPEATED efforts throughout the weekend. I could NOT have pulled off this event without the contributions of these 3 people!

There is still a BIG postparty planned, on Saturday , Sept. 9th., starting at 3 PM (dinner at 6:30). As with previous years, an RSVP is requested, and Non-Cranberry GUESTS may be invited (again with RSVP) at a nominal charge (probably $8). More DETAILS on the postparty will follow, but I anticipate a FULL, lavish dinner.....with yes, volunteers needed to help cook...from noon on. Based on the current budget, I promise a great feast, and perhaps even a designated dance floor in the back yard! Please mark your calenders !!!!
