NO-TALENT NEW YEAR’S WEEKEND!
Friday, December 29, 2006 - Monday, January 1, 2007

I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO ALLEGANY!

I didn’t go, but at the Gorham trip I heard lots of reminiscing about Allegany. I should have gone! The slides of the Allegany weekend were magical! I’ll bet it had something to do with the magic show performed by The Great Trudini. It was obvious everyone who went had a wonderful time. The energy in the room as people talked about the slides was full of laughter and excitement. There was lots of story telling.

I didn’t see a lot of snow, but it looked like folks did lots of hiking in that beautiful wilderness and everyone was smiling. How could you go wrong with trail names like Mt. Tuscarora or Beehunter.

The No-Talent Show on New Year’s Eve looks like it was amazing. The King (Jon’s Elvis) was there in full costume as Master of Ceremonies and I saw shots of people lined up to have their picture taken with him. The three contestants who stole the show were new members who called themselves "The Newbies". They belted out "I’m So Excited", by the Pointer Sisters. They must have practiced their dance moves and were beautifully dressed in lots of glitter. How wonderful seeing new people getting in on the fun! Fresh air. Beautiful surroundings. Great food. Great company, and lots of fun. What more could you ask for?
